The 2nd BRICS Forum Traditional Values, held under the theme “Uniting Traditions, Strengthening Nations”, was officially inaugurated today at the National Congress of Brazil. The event represents a new milestone in the development of international cooperation within the BRICS alliance, emphasizing cultural and values-based diplomacy as a foundation for collective responses to global challenges.
The opening ceremony, presided over by Fernando Gomes of the Republican Party of Brazil, brought together leaders of the Forum’s organizing and partner institutions. In their welcoming remarks, they underscored the Forum’s significance as a distinctive platform for fostering dialogue, mutual understanding, and equitable collaboration among nations. Participants unanimously affirmed that the Forum plays a pivotal role in building new partnerships and shaping a shared future for the BRICS alliance.

• Ronaldo Nogueira, Vice President of the Forum, Federal Deputy, and President of the PROSUL Parliamentary Front of the National Congress of Brazil;
• Flávio Nogueira, Federal Deputy and President of the ESG Parliamentary Front of the National Congress;
• Mônica Monteiro, Global President of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance (WBA);
• Franciane Bayer, Vice President of the Forum, Federal Deputy, and Vice President of the Education Committee of the National Congress of Brazil.

- As part of the program, the Forum will also host a special session of the BRICS Literature Award, during which the nominees for the 2025 first stage will be formally announced.
