BRICS Traditional Values Forum Starts in Brasília, Uniting Leaders for a Shared Future

The 2nd BRICS Forum Traditional Values, held under the theme “Uniting Traditions, Strengthening Nations”, was officially inaugurated today at the National Congress of Brazil. The event represents a new milestone in the development of international cooperation within the BRICS alliance, emphasizing cultural and values-based diplomacy as a foundation for collective responses to global challenges.

The opening ceremony, presided over by Fernando Gomes of the Republican Party of Brazil, brought together leaders of the Forum’s organizing and partner institutions. In their welcoming remarks, they underscored the Forum’s significance as a distinctive platform for fostering dialogue, mutual understanding, and equitable collaboration among nations. Participants unanimously affirmed that the Forum plays a pivotal role in building new partnerships and shaping a shared future for the BRICS alliance.
The ceremony featured addresses by:

Boris Tarasov, President of the World Association “True Values” (WATV), Founder and Executive Director of the BRICS Forum Traditional Values;

Oziel Alves, Secretary-General of WATV, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Forum, and National Director of the NGO Parliament and Faith (Brazil);

Ronaldo Nogueira, Vice President of the Forum, Federal Deputy, and President of the PROSUL Parliamentary Front of the National Congress of Brazil;

Flávio Nogueira, Federal Deputy and President of the ESG Parliamentary Front of the National Congress;

Mônica Monteiro, Global President of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance (WBA);

Franciane Bayer, Vice President of the Forum, Federal Deputy, and Vice President of the Education Committee of the National Congress of Brazil.
The Forum’s agenda is devoted to comprehensive discussions and the formulation of practical solutions to key global issues. Over the coming days, distinguished experts and policymakers will exchange views on a wide range of topics, including:

  • Regulation and development of artificial intelligence;
  • The future of global financial transaction systems;
  • Women’s Inclusion in the Global Economy: Networks, Innovation and Leadership;
  • Education of the Future: Global Challenges and BRICS Cooperation;
  • Cooperation among BRICS entrepreneurs;
  • Expansion of humanitarian collaboration;
  • Health of Nations and prevention medicine;
  • As part of the program, the Forum will also host a special session of the BRICS Literature Award, during which the nominees for the 2025 first stage will be formally announced.

Boris Tarasov, in his address, emphasized: “The BRICS Forum on Traditional Values seeks to harness our shared traditional values to create a platform for dialogue and the development of effective strategies for equitable prosperity of nations, security, and sustainable development. It serves as a strategic incubator for new pilot solutions to global challenges.”
